Emelia is well on the move. Im not quite sure whats happened but somebody has swapped my stationary baby for a moving baby toddler that wants to get into everything! I find myself precariously wondering around behind her because she gets everywhere so so quickly whilst crawling, and is constantly picking up the tiniest things she can find. She pulls herself up on furniture and walks around it with a huge smile on her face. Lets just say she just doesn't ever sit still !

This month we have been trying to help Emelia settle into a new nightime routine where she settles herself more eficiently. So far its not going to bad but she is still very much dependant on "feed to sleep". If anyone follows me on instagram you will have seen the constant struggle we have had over the months with Emelias sleep patterns. Obviously this is one of the things that just goes hand and hand with parenting, but when you havent had more than a 3 hr stretch of sleep for 9 months you start to get a bit sleep desperate !! I was actually messaged by a sleep expert and she gave me some amazing advice which I will probably comply into a blog post if we ever get to a state of some sort of nighttime routine!  Her naps have changed during the day a little too and she has been cutting out her afternoon nap and having a longer mid morning nap. This seems to work quite well for her however she is shattered come dinner time. Yes, the other day she did fall asleep whilst eating dinner !

One main thing that I have noticed this month is that Emelia has started to come out of her shell. She used to be quite quiet, and reserved around everyone but me, Reggie and my sister. However, she is so much more relaxed, and calmer and definitely more sociable which makes it alot easier on me. I  absolutely love that she's so cuddly with me but not being able to get anything done can sometimes be hard.

At 9 months old Emelia weighs 17lb 3 and is comfortably in 6-9 month clothing. She seems to have been in 6-9 for ages and they have lasted a really good amount of time. Its been good that her 6-9 month warmer clothes have lasted that bit longer too because of the cold weather we have had.

This months favorites:

Twirlywoos
Blueberries
playing hide and seek peekaboo

Going Kinda Eco crazy : Bambino Mio review

When Bambino Mio asked us if we would like to sample some products from their new launch I jumped at the chance. If any of you have used their products before you’ll know they are an amazing brand. For anyone who doesn’t know they specialise in beautifully made, eco friendly baby products. Their main line being reusable nappies. Also if anyone follows me on instagram, you may have seen my most recent project to become more “eco friendly” so some cloth nappies to trial were just the perfect addition to our new venture. Its all going really well and actually its definitely no where near as scary or restricting as I thought it would be.

The nappies themselves are amazing. And I use the word amazing because they are quite possibly the second most important item (to food) that you will need for you baby. For the first 9 months of Emelia’s life we have chosen to use disposable nappies. This amounts to aproxemetly 2,240. TWO THOUSAND AND FORTY Nappies over 9 months for 1 baby. Its unbelievable when you think about it and something that every parent should be conscious of. Although it may not be practical for everyone it is most certainly doable with little to no effort required. And the long term pros out weigh any minor negatives putting you off. So the new range of cloth nappies are a beautifully designed jungle theme, and include a pattern of tiny little characters that you would find in only the most exotic of rainforests. The vibrant colour on some of the nappies look amazing and each print is designed perfectly. They are really fun and I can only imagine that in months to come Emelia will choose which animal character nappies she wants on !

We have been using flushable liners so once they are soiled you just pick up the liner and everything gets flushed  away or they can be composted when wet, and then you just add a new liner and your good to go again. The nappy itself is easily washed in your machine and dry perfectly out on the line on a sunny day! Miofresh is Bambino Mio’s  environmentally friendly and biodegradable nappy cleanser. It cleans, freshens and deodorises the nappy efficiency and doesn’t contain any nasties that conventional nappy cleansers can. The Miosolo all in one reusable nappies are fully adjustable and grow with baby as well. The velcro tabs make it super easy to keep the same nappies so no need to replace. One of the first things I noticed is that they are so unbelievably soft. The waterproof outa layer is practical and beautifully designed with a print and then the inner is cushioned and soft. The nappies can be used over night with no problems. Reusable Boosters can be purchased to add to the nappy at nighttime if necessary. Their site has a whole range of reusable products so you can guarentee that their will be something that you can replace your everyday disposable item with. Whether it be nappies for swimming or wipes. They even offer 15% off your first order.
